Three ways we help.
The scope depends on the condition of the unit. Evaluation comes first, and a rebuild is recommended only when the condition justifies it.

Inspection & Evaluation
We inspect and test the unit to establish its condition, then recommend repair, reconditioning, modification, or replacement, with documented findings.

Repair & Reconditioning
Component repairs, leak repairs, and complete teardown and rebuild, tested before the transformer ships back. Reconditioning extends the useful service life and often costs less, with a shorter lead time, than replacement.

Modification & Upgrade
When system requirements change, we evaluate whether the existing unit supports a re-rating, voltage change, or cooling upgrade. We also fabricate components in-house when OEM parts are obsolete.
Why repair instead of replace?
We inspect and test the unit first, then recommend a path based on its condition and your requirements. Repair or reconditioning makes sense when:
Repairable damage
Oil leaks, failed components, and fault damage limited enough to correct in the shop.
Serviceable core and coils
If the active part passes inspection, reconditioning extends the service life of the existing unit.
Replacement lead times
New transformers carry long lead times. Repair or reconditioning is often finished sooner.
Changed requirements
A voltage or capacity change may call for a modification instead of a replacement.
From first call to return to service.

Describe the problem. A nameplate photo is helpful if you have one.
Inspect
We inspect and test the unit, then recommend repair, reconditioning, modification, or replacement.

Repair / Recondition / Modify
The approved scope is performed in our shop, from component repairs to complete rebuilds.
Test & Return
Testing and documentation are completed before the transformer ships for return to service.
