Fast-Track Power for a Hyperscale Data Center Hall
A hyperscale operator needed redundant transformer capacity for a new compute hall months ahead of standard OEM lead times. JCL pulled matching units from stock and ran phased delivery against the construction schedule.

Fast-Track Power for a Hyperscale Data Center Hall
When a hyperscale operator broke ground on a new compute hall, the power equipment timeline was the long pole. Standard OEM lead times would have pushed energization past the go-live date. JCL Energy delivered redundant transformer capacity on the construction schedule — not the factory's.

Compute capacity was waiting on copper and steel
The operator had committed go-live dates to its tenants, but the new hall needed eight 3000 kVA units in an N+1 redundancy topology — and the OEMs they’d normally use were quoting 40-plus week lead times. Every week of slip pushed millions in deferred revenue and risked breaching tenant SLAs.
The units also had to match the campus standard: 34.5 kV primary, specific impedance and tap arrangements, and full factory acceptance testing so the commissioning team could energize without surprises in the field.

Stocked units, spec-matched, on a phased schedule
JCL identified six matching units from existing stock and sourced the remaining two through our supplier network with expedited build slots. Our engineers reviewed the campus spec against each unit’s nameplate, impedance, and tap configuration before anything shipped — so the operator’s commissioning team got exactly what they specified.
Rather than dropping all eight units on a muddy construction site at once, we ran a phased delivery aligned to the build sequence: the first redundant pair landed as the pad cured, with the balance arriving as each section came online. Every unit shipped with complete factory acceptance test reports and nameplate verification.
